Midlake

Midlake is the solution designed and built by Medas to enhance the information assets of hospital companies, consisting of large amounts of data and medical images. Access to this heritage for the purposes of data analysis and the construction of predictive models is severely limited by the partitioning of the data and the sensitive nature of the data, for which the implementation of protection policies is a top priority.

In this context, MidLake is a safe bridge between the world of health and that of research and data mining by providing a process that allows the collection of clinical data and medical images anonymized in special archives (datalake) designed to enable Artificial Intelligence.

MidLake manages the process of automatic and continuous data collection from source systems (hospitals) within dedicated shared work areas; It allows to define for which patients data collection can be performed and what type of data/images you need to collect according to the specific project. Finally, it starts the anonymization phase that allows to remove from the data and images any reference to the patient so that different consumers can draw on the amount of data transmitted to the datalake.
