DLB – DICOM LOCAL BUFFER is the Medas solution capable of intelligently satisfying the needs of managing and processing flows of DICOM image studies, adapting extremely flexibly to multiple contexts.

DLB interacts with computer applications that produce, manage and / or store diagnostic images in DICOM format. The solution is able, thanks to the multichannel architecture of which it is composed, to manage the reception, processing, sending and handling of DICOM images in parallel, automatically without the need for manual intervention by the operator.

The image flows and DICOM processing can be customized thanks to the use of a powerful and flexible configuration language based on “rules” that allows you to manage the peculiarities of any installation.

The solution consists of different independent modules which, independently or interacting with each other, allow to: manage the complete workflow of DICOM objects (reception, modification, local storage, sending), to trigger automatic handling processes between DICOM nodes by executing, if necessary, checks of congruity, alignment, etc.

DLB is the solution to the problems of adherence to the standard that sometimes arise in the integration between systems of different vendors and can form the basis on which to develop the frontend of one’s applications that must interact with DICOM nodes.
